DNTEL - After Parties 1 & 2 (2010)
Two EPs by Jimmy Tamborello under his "DNTEL" alias. These EPs feature no guests and are completely instrumental, unlike the past two albums under the DNTEL name. Atmospheric and a bit dark in places. The most minimal of his work.

Farben - Textstar (2002)
A compilation of 12" singles that Jan Jelinek released under the alias "Farben". Essential listening for a fan of electronic music and a great introduction to the world of microhouse.

Destroyer - Bay of Pigs (2009)
Destroyer's Bay of Pig's EP. This release is only two songs, but clocks in at over 20 minutes. New age synth textures slowly evolve into dancey, introspective pop tunes. The first track "Bay of Pigs" is an astounding piece of pop music and later appeared on Destroyer's highly acclaimed 2011 album "Kaputt" in a slightly edited shorter form. Definitely worth your time.
Nils Frahm & Anne Müller - 7Fingers (2010)
Producer Nils Frahm and Cellist Anne Müller's 2010 collaboration. A mix of glitchy minimal techno and neoclassical music. High recommended.

Talkdemonic - Ruins (2011)

Talkdemonic's fourth effort. Possibly my album of the year 2011, this album is a lot harsher than their previous releases but still manages to stay very pretty. From buzzing analog synths and shrieking strings to bleeps and acoustic guitars and drones. A beautiful mix of acoustic and electronic instruments.

Piana - Ephemeral (2005)

Second album by Piana. Full of lush electronic soundscapes and gentle, whispery vocals. Reminds me of Ai Aso a bit. Very adorable and relaxing. Recommended for fans of Lullatone and the like.

World's End Girlfriend - Seven Idiots (2010)

World's End Girlfriend's most recent album. According to Katsuhiko Maeda, he wrote complete vocal tracks for each song first, then filled them in with instrumentation. Afterwards, he removed the vocals and continued to mix until each song was completed. Very interesting. I would call it Maeda's best to date.

Akira Yamaoka - Silent Hill 3 Original Soundtracks (2003)

Another amazing soundtrack from an amazing game. While not quite as good as the Silent Hill 2 OST previously posted, it is still more than deserving of a listen. Play the game too, while you're at it.
