Syzygys - Complete Studio Recordings (2003)

Syzygys are a very fun and interesting band. They compose songs using a microtonal scale which leaves their songs sounding very off kilter and dizzy. Fun to listen to.

Audrey - Audrey EP (2005)

Slow, delicate songs with pretty cello arrangements. Vocalist reminds me Björk.

Cubesato - Cubicroom (2009)

I'd been looking for this for a while and I was so glad when I found it. Short and sweet little songs made up of of interesting synth sounds, chopped vocals (samples too), and some other instrumentation. Very short but I enjoy it.

Braids - Set Pieces EP (2008)

This band has been getting a lot more attention lately. This is their debut EP, originally released under their old name, "The Neighborhood Council". Delayed and reverby guitars and synths, strange waily vocals. They get a lot of comparisons to Animal Collective which I understand. Enjoy.

Mono - You Are There (2006)

Epic in the proper sense of the word. Very beautiful, dramatic and even almost cinematic. This is classical music with guitars. Some would argue that's what post rock is, but it doesn't really matter. Very good.

Silversun Pickups - Pikul (2005)

Silversun Pickups' debut EP. Slower guitar based songs with some soft noise. There is some definite shoegaze influence but I wouldn't go so far as to call Silversun Pickups a shoegaze band. Enjoyable listen if you're into 90's alternative rock.

Jesu - Why Are We Not Perfect? (2008)

Jesu's Why Are We Not Perfect? EP. The tracks are from Jesu's split EP with Eluvium. The sound is more electronic than his earlier work but still dense and dreamy.

Uzi and Ari - Headworms (2008)

This was uploaded a really long time ago, probably more than a year now so I guess I should get around to posting it. I wasn't really sure how to label this. Pretty little sounds. Male and female vocals, quiet songs, nice and varied instrumentation.

Edit: wow, why did no one tell me I didn't put links?

Man or Astro-man? - EEVIAC: Operational Index and Reference Guide, Including Other Modern Computational Devices (1999)

Fantastic album with a name that's way too long. Might be my favourite album by them. Spacey surfy goodness.

Abandoned Pools - Humanistic (2001)

Great debut album from former and founding member of Eels. Dense guitars, vocals samples, glitchy drums and synths. Worth a listen and very underrated.

King Geedorah - Taker Me to Your Leader (2003)

A great album by MF Doom under the alias King Geedorah. Not sure how to describe this but it's wonderful. If you have the slightest interest in hip-hop or MF Doom I suggest you listen to this.

Villeneuve - Graceland EP (2004)

I've been looking for this one for a while and last night I finally tracked it down. Features an amazing song with M83 (Villeneuve's vocalist also had her voice chopped up in the song "0078h" from this album). Definitely worth a listen, even if just for "Look at Me".
